Sickies :(

I have taken a break from life it seems. I have been sick on and off for nearly a month. It started out with a stuffy nose, which if you know me is really nothing uncommon. I am always pretty nasally. I initially thought that I was just having really bad allergies because of the weather change. It went from torrential rains to 90 degree shorts and tank top weather back to gloomy and overcast in a matter of 2 days. It was a roller coaster of what should I wear today? I was having a great week after Taelyn's birthday, then exactly 1 week later it hit me hard. I went to another little peanut's 1st birthday party and was fine. The weather was chilly, but bearable. About 2 hours after we got home, I got a serious fever of 102. I started vomiting nearly every hour and couldn't even sit up, I was so dizzy. I called Todd and asked him if he could come home early from work to take care of Taelyn because there was no way I could do dinner and bath time, I couldn't even stand, let alone attempt to hold her. He came home with medicine. No luck. I had a rough 3 days after that, I couldn't get better.

I had gone to our family doctor about a month prior and got a nasal decongestant that I had come to realize I became addicted to. It worked so great the 1st few days, and I just kept using it. It started to not be as effective as it originally was so I would use more to compensate. I started to get nose bleeds and pain when I used it to the point I realized I HAD to STOP! That was hard because I just couldn't breathe without it. So all of this, all at once made for a really sick Teresa. I literally didn't leave my house for almost a week straight, Todd had to take off work to take care of me and Taelyn. My mom came over when Todd did have to go to work. It was HARD! Especially since I or the doctors couldn't pin point what exactly was wrong with me. I went to a specialist who drained and flushed my sinuses because I was told it could be a sinus infection, that didn't work. It went from "ALLERGIES" to "FLU" to "SINUS INFECTION" to "COLD" back to "ALLERGIES".

So now a few weeks later, I STILL have a stuffy nose, but I am able to function, so I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I am trying my best to mother Taelyn and keep her entertained no matter how crappy I feel. So I guess I am back :)
